Roadwars - Case Study.

Road Wars is a reality TV program created by Raw Cut TV. The program is broadcasted on Sky1 and also worldwide. The show is narrated by Lee Boardman. Road Wars is now mainly shown on the TV channel called 'Dave'. However the episodes shown are all repeats. Road Wars is unlike other police programs, instead of playing police video clips, the program has documented the changing tactics of criminals  Perhaps most importantly their increasing violence and recklessness, it shows the response of the UK police forces. The program also contains police videos from America. And finally to top it all off, the program has comedy value in the narrators accent. For series 1-6 the program followed the Thames Valley Police's road policing proactive unit. They are shown as typical police officers, driving 2.8L turbo V6 Vauxhall Vectra (Better than Toms).

Target Audience

The target audience for Road Wars are people who are actually interested in the police force. And the way things are done. There isn't any indication to show what age Road wars is aimed at, but i believe it's aimed more towards the 16 +. The program is shown before 9pm, which tells us it's suitable for younger children to watch. Even though it contains mild violence. The program is aimed at both genders. To sum it up, the program is aimed at people who are simply interested in the police force.
