5. There is no longer one representation of either gender.
I personally agree with this statement, being in a modern world like today means that people have a lot more freedom with the way they dress and act. For example, there was a point in which females weren't allowed to work. The stereotypical female would stay at home, look after the children, do the housework, and much more. But now females have a lot more freedom with what they do, they're allowed by law to go out and work. There isn't a certain way that they're expected to dress, unlike the past which they were expected to wear smart clothes at all times. Now days you see females who wear all sorts of clothes. They don't have to stay at home, and be the typical house wife that the males wanted in the past. Males no longer have one representation either, back then the typical representation would be well dressed mostly in a suit or a waste coat, and go out to work everyday. But now this is a lot different, men can dress how they want, and they can also stay at home without having to work. Over the past few years, people have changed the way they look a huge amount, 'body art' like tattoos and piercings have become a lot more popular, you could expect both female and male genders to have 'body art'. There's also people who cross dress, you wouldn't expect that back then. And it wouldn't be accepted back then, just like 'body art'. So now days the way people are represented has changed so much over the 50 odd years.
3. Power is something you get, not given.
I agree, but also disagree with this statement. I agree with it, because people have to build up an image about themselves from a young age, this is influenced by the people around them. So you have to work to get the power that some people have. Media instutions today started from rock bottom, and built all the way up to the top. So they weren't given the power, they had to work for it.
